BCP Council is re-opening The work for the Provision of Short Break Services for Disabled Children and Young People to allow for further competition - Round 1

Short Breaks provide opportunities for disabled children and young people to spend time away from their primary carers and should provide the ongoing support that children/young people and their families need to fulfil their potential, therefore benefiting both the child/young person and the parent/carer. The break should provide a rest from caring responsibilities for parents/carers and will allow the child/young person to experience new activities while developing relationships.

The work covers the following lots;

• Lot 1 – Overnight care

• Lot 2 – Day care

• Lot 3 – Domiciliary care

• Lot 4 – Community care

Existing work Suppliers will not need to resubmit tenders and will remain on the work.
