项目信息详述
Deion: Successful canola establishment is foundational to delivering a profitable crop; especially to seize opportunities when canola prices are over $1000/t, as was the case during the 2021 growing season. A summary of feedback from recent (2021) National Grower Network (NGN) meetings reaffirms canola establishment  is still a significant constraint to growers, with different soil types providing different challenges for growers.  Reducing risks of poor crop establishment in canola under marginal seedbed conditions offer prospects of increasing grower profitability. This may be achieved through an integrated approach that captures and leverages the interactions of genetics by environment by management (GxExM). Combinations of novel approaches and technologies (e.g., genetic innovation in long hypocotyl, secondary seed dormancy, precision seeding technologies, seed treatments, soil water repellence and soil surface crusting) suitable for canola growing regions across Australia are more likely to deliver reliable canola establishment through additive effects, as opposed to on their own.  To evaluate and optimise combinations of G*E*M components a range of activities including desktop analysis, glasshouse and field experiments coupled with modelling are required across Australia. Industry consultation and collaboration with current investment partners will ensure appropriate approaches and methodologies are deployed which deliver to growers in all three GRDC regions, bespoke management recommendations for each target production environment.   The successful tender for this procurement must have freedom to operate and where appropriate, Material Transfer Agreements in place which provide access to canola lines and material used in proposed experimental work.     Other Instructions: Conditions for Participation: The following are mandatory conditions with which a Tenderer must comply to participate in this procurement process:  1 The Tenderer must be a single legal entity or recognised firm of partners  2 The Tenderer and any proposed subcontractor must be compliant with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012.  3 The Tenderer and any subcontractor must not have a judicial decision against it (not including decisions under appeal) relating to employee enments and who have not paid the claim.  4 The Tenderer and any subcontractor must not be named on the Consolidated List, being the list of persons and entities who are subject to targeted financial sanctions or travel bans under Australian sanction laws, as maintained by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  5 In accordance with the Black Economy Procurement Connected Policy, a Tenderer must include a satisfactory and valid Statement of Tax Records (STR).  If the total value of all work under any proposed subcontract is expected to be equal to or above $4 million (inclusive of GST), also include a separate satisfactory and valid STR of that proposed subcontractor.     Time for Delivery: May 2022 - December 2025  Address for Lodgement: Tenderers must submit their responses electronically through the Grains Investment Portal at: https://access.grdc.com.au  For information on 'Applying' and how to register refer to the ATM details on the GRDC's Website  Isabelle Rogers  Phone: 92304607  Email Address: Western@grdc.com.au
