Details
The ive of this contract is to ensure that Dandenong Market assets are protected and that users of the site are safe at all times.

The Contractor is to provide both general security services and event support staff to assist with the daily set up of the Market and its events.

This is a full service, fixed price contract.

The contractor is required to provide all the labour and equipment required to deliver the duties and responsibilities set out in these specifications. This includes:

• Static guards;

• Event staff;

• Dock Master and traffic controller;

• Two- way radios (for each and every rostered position) – tuned to the site frequency;

• Mobile telephone(s);

• Tablet or similar;

• Alarm monitoring;

• Guard Patrol Tracking System;

• PPE as appropriate; and

• Traffic control equipment (stop/go paddles, etc).

The Market occupies approximately 1 hectare bounded by Cleeland, Clow, King and Stuart Streets in Dandenong. There are approximately 200 stalls and shops, including approximately 120 General Merchandise Traders and 16 Fruit and Vegetable Traders. The Market is managed exclusively by Dandenong Market Pty Ltd.

The Market attracts around 5.6 million visitors each year across its 4 days of trade and offers employment for approximately 1,000 people.

The site is serviced by approximately 1,000 carparking bays.
