Deion:
The Commonwealth is seeking an industry partner, a Regional Maintenance Provider, to provide maintenance management services for Navy vessels at Darwin in the Northen Territory, including:

1. establish robust, reliable and resilient supply chains in the Northern region;

2. liaise with the Commonwealth and suppliers to program, coordinate and verify maintenance delivery to meet demand;

3. drive implementation of standardisation and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of sustainment delivery; and

4. work with local industry to support the continued development of sovereign sustainment capability over time.

The Regional Maintenance Provider will be working with Commonwealth personnel as part of a Regional Maintenance Centre. Regional Maintenance Centres are a key part of a new, innovative approach to Naval sustainment in response to the opportunities presented by Continuous Naval Shipbuilding.
