Regulation (EU) 576/2013 provides that dogs, cats and ferrets moved into an EU Member State from another Member State are to be accompanied by an identification document in the form of a passport. The model and additional requirements for the passport are set out in Annex III to Commission Implementing  Reg (EU) 577/2013 of 28 June 2013.

The successful tenderer will be responsible for printing, packing and delivery of approx 90,000 Pet Passports according to the model and additional requirements referred to in paragraph 1. It’s not possible to state precisely the number of Pet Passports required over the term of any contract awarded as a result of this RFT. Historical records indicate that in the region of 30,000 Pet Passports are required annually. A model of a pet passport is specified in Part 1 of Annex III to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 577/2013 of 28 June 2013. Additional requirements are set out in Part 2 of Annex III to Commission Implementing Reg (EU) 577/2013.
