Sligo County Council is seeking tenders from a suitably qualified, multidisciplinary consultancy with expertise in the area of Landscape Character Assessment (LCA).
The primary purpose of the assessment is to provide the basis for preserving the distinctiveness and character of special landscapes, while at the same time facilitating development, particularly in more robust areas of County Sligo.
The Landscape Character Assessment will inform a range of policies and ives to be included in the forthcoming Sligo County Development Plan 2023-2029 and in any subsequent local area plans or non-statutory planning works.
The LCA will also inform the Renewable Energy Strategy associated with the Sligo CDP 2023-2029 (subject to a separate procurement procedure)
