Portsmouth City Council (the Council) is inviting s of interest for delivery of major refurbishment works to The Avalon — an office building located at 57-63 Scrutton Street, South Shoreditch, London. The costs of the works are estimated between GBP 5 million to GBP 6 million with a target date for award of contract of 6 April 2021, works commencement 21 April 2021 and completion by March 2022.

Application is via submission of completed SSQ, the deadline for which is 31 July 2020, 12.00. The Council is aiming to issue the tender documents to the four shortlisted contractors on 18 January 2021 in order to allow for detailed pre-tender consultation.

In addition to The Avalon project, the Council reserves the right to use the contractor shortlist to procure further capital works similar in scope, value, contracting strategy and delivery location (Central and Greater London) up to a total aggregated value of GBP 20 million, which may be procured within 3 years of establishment of the shortlist.
