The Access and Disability Service in GMIT requires Academic Interpretation Services for students with moderate to profound deafness.
The requirements of the Access and Disability Service are as follows:
•    Simultaneous Interpreting in lectures either on campus or through an online platform i.e. Micorsoft Teams
Interpreting through an online platform for recorded lecturers/tutorials
•    Summary Interpreting for practical classes and labs
•    Interpreting for examinations
•    Interpreting for meetings and student consultation
•    Social Interpretation as required
This Service must provide Interpreters qualified to deliver Interpretation in a range of subjects, but in particular, the Interpretation Service should have experience of delivery with the Science, Engineering and Computing disciplines.
All Interpreters should be qualified, registered and approved to work in demanding domains
The tendered must be able to provide interpreters in Galway, Mayo and Letterfrack Campuses as required
