The public procurement is for preparation of a detailed design, construction, delivery of the necessary equipment and commissioning of a section of the third metro line. The total length of the section, including the metro stations, is 5,666 m. 6 underground metro stations (from MC1 to MC6) and 3 inter-station ventilation systems are being built along the route. The turnover of the rolling stock is carried out through a "strap" after MC6 on Tsarigradsko Shosse Blvd. At this place it is planned to build an underground two-storey car park. The proposed construction technologies are: for tunnel sections - use of tunnel boring machine (TPM) and a new Austrian tunnel method (NATM), and for metro stations and ventilation systems - open pit with vertical reinforcement. Metro stations are expected to have side platforms, which on the tracks are partitioned with partition glazed walls, opening synchronously with the doors of the rolling stock.
